We spent a wonderful week at Palazzo Parensi within the walls of Lucca! There were 7 of us - 3 couples and a single person. The place was huge. There was lots of privacy for everyone. Someone could go the the kitchen early in the morning to make their breakfast and take it to the dining room or the outside seating area without disturbing the others who were still sleeping. We had already spent over two weeks traveling and eating all our meals out so we were pleased to be able to eat in. We prepared our own breakfasts each morning and most evenings we took turns cooking dinner. The kitchen is extremely well supplied - great quality and quantity of dishes, utensils, pots and pans. We expected to have to supply everything once we arrived - paper products, hand soap, laundry soap, etc. Everything was supplied when we arrived and we just needed to replenish items as the week progressed. We did the Gourmet/Historical tour of Lucca and the Walking tour or Pisa with Maria. She was delightful!

We rented this unit along with my wife's sister & her husband. This is a very spacious (approx 2,100 sq.ft.) and endearing apartment which we thoroughly enjoyed.
If you are planning on staying more than a week and have a party of 4 or more, this would be the ideal unit. Very well equipped, lots of room, pretty well in the centre of the city and easy to get to all sights within the wall. Very well furnished and lots of amenities. Kitchen is great and very well stocked with silverware, plates, utensils, pots & pans. There was even a good supply of food (tea, coffee, milk, bread, etc.) already so as not having to run out shopping for our first breakfast upon arrival. Spacious living room with the most comfortable of sofas and even with a table set up for playing cards. Three bedrooms all good sizes and while one did not have an ensuite, there is a third bathroom located in the main hallway. Master bedroom has a very modern and beautiful ensuite. Beds were comfortable. Overall, this unit was exactly as advertised and, really, better than the pictures suggest.
Debora and her associates, Maria and Paola, were first class and attended to our every needs. Should we ever return to Lucca, we will certainly pursue renting another unit from Debora .

Absolutely perfect would be the best way to describe first, the level of service we received from Debora, Paola, and Maria at Lucca Holiday Homes. Since had never been to the city or region we had many questions leading up to our arrival and they were very patient and thorough in answering everything. Upon arrival they took care of every detail from booking tours to being available to pick up late arriving luggage. If we get back to the area again I would not even consider using anyone else but Lucca Holiday Homes!
Secondly the property met and in many ways exceeded our expectations. Overall, the property is clean, spacious, well appointed and easily housed the eight people in our party (six adults and two children). The bedrooms are separated from the common areas. They are comfortable and private which is a big plus for a larger group. The common areas are a great place to relax and discuss the events of the day, play games or simply enjoy the peace and quiet. The kitchen has everything you need for a comfortable extended stay. The apartment is in a quiet section of the city yet provides easy access to the sights, restaurants, the wall and we loved using the two bicycles to tour in Lucca. Since the apartment is at street level you do not have to contend with stairs which is a big plus. The enormous front bedroom was perfect for the two children and their parents.
If you want to stay in Lucca then this is the place for you and more importantly our new friends, Debora, Paula and Maria at Lucca Holiday Homes are the people you want to work with.

Sometimes things are just better than one can imagine and if we think of Lucca and and the eponymous Holiday Homes, then we smile and appreciate the joy of travel, friends, and a wonderful holiday home we shared earlier this year. We had planned a larger group and an even larger Palazzo but then plans changed so we "downsized" to Parensi. This is magnificent and Palazzo does do justice.
The location is brilliant right in the heart of the town, but on a quieter part of the street, near to shops and more shops. Debora's parking advice is like everything accurate and helpful, so we parked outside the walls for free.
The accommodation is brilliant, a lot of room, beautifully furnished and equipped for pretty much anything; the 18 flutes, 18 white and 18 red wine glasses gives a sense of the scale and focus! There are other glasses for everyday drinking as well of course...
The bedrooms are large, cool (we had warm sunny weather) and two had en-suite and the other a short walk up the hall to the bathroom. Ours also had a very splendid dressing room. The garden, whilst not huge, is great for breakfast in the sunshine, and again everything you could want for outdoor living.
Yes, we would recommend the house, the company and Lucca.

Our recent holiday at Palazzo Parensi was fantastic! Its convenient location allowed us to experience local life in Italy enjoying relaxing walks to the piazza for coffee, buying the most delicious fresh pasta for dinner and exploring the architectural treasures Lucca has to offer. A short walk to the train station gave us access to exploring further afield in Florence and Cinque Terre. The highlight of our stay was a cooking class which Debora organised for us in the comfort of the apartment.
Palazzo Parensi is a very comfortable and spacious apartment which offers every convenience you could possibly need. The provision of thoughtful extras made us feel most welcome.
We are very grateful to Debora whose friendly and efficient attention to detail from when we first made inquiries about the apartment to when we arrived in Lucca, made our time here very special.

The apartment was excellent, there was nothing extra that we needed. Plenty of room for the 6 adults staying for a week. We used the outside table every day at least for breakfast (even though it was a bit of a walk from the kitchen)and enjoyed the CD collection. Debora was very helpful right from our first email and did a wonderful job of organising transport for us and assisting with parking. All the information left at the apartment was very useful. Debora's help added to a wonderful week in Lucca.

Had a fantastic stay in Lucca. The apartment was fantastic, lovely inside with everything we could possibly need and the location was ideal. Deborah and her team were very responsive to anything we asked about. We had a small problem with the car service pick up on our leaving day which never turned up but even that didn't dampen our stay and would stay here again on our next trip.

The apartment was very well maintained and well equipped. It had everything we needed. Debora was responsive to any enquiries about activities and even a physician. The garden area with outside table is located off the laundry room far from the kitchen, so it didn't get as much use as we'd had planned.
This is our second holiday with Lucca Holiday Home property, and we will definitely rent from Debora again. Thanks.

This apartment was exceptional. We were 3 couples, the apartment is very spacious, very clean, and is very well appointed. The location is also superb. We had very good service from the booking agent, (Deborah) she organised all our transfers in and out of Lucca as we parked our vehicle in the FREE public parking area for the week. Her organisation skills were perfect. We would stay here again.

Spent a week with my family in the apartment. It is very spacious & it has all the commodities you can imagine. The enclosed patio was very cozy, kitchen well equipped, rooms excellent. It is situaded in aquiet area but very near various plazas, & one of the gates. We rented a car for a day & found a parking lot just 5 minutes walk. Really you don' t need a car if stayin g in town or going to cities nearby since the train station is just 10 minute walk. The only thing was that there were no english speaking station on the TV but with Wi-fi there is really no need. Deborah, teh agent was extremely efficient & helped us with small details that you need when you are new in a place. Highly recommend it.

Debora was helpful was the moment we enquired about the apartment in Lucca. The apartment itself was fantastic and we were a party of 6 adults staying for one week. Everything worked perfectly - heating, washing machine, oven etc. We cooked a feast on Easter Sunday and a couple of other nights we ate in as well. The location of the apartment is very convenient to the centre of the old town although you wouldn't think so because it is so quiet. Unfortunately we didn't get time to enjoy the outdoor area as it rained almost every day but it didn't bother us at all. We managed to ride hire bikes three days between showers. There is one bike free with the apartment and our daughter rode that every day, just like a local. We enjoyed many restaurants nearby. We would certainly recommend this apartment to everyone and also Debora and her team.
